Biden's pick for COVID task force profited off of the lockdown policies he pushed

Published in Blog on November 10, 2020 by Article V Patriot

The official motto of Washington, D.C., is "Justice for All." But here's a motto that better describes our nation's capital: "Presidents come and presidents go, but corrupt bureaucrats are forever."

Joe Biden hasn't even been declared the official winner of the 2020 presidential election, and already his hand-picked bureaucrats and "experts" are facing allegations of corruption.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, who was named to Biden’s coronavirus task force on Monday, profited off lockdown policies he used his expertise to advocate for, according to The Daily Wire.

Emanuel worked as an adviser for COVID-19 RECoVERY Consulting, where he helped businesses navigate draconian lockdown orders and remain in business. But even while he was making money from these businesses, he was advocating for continuing lockdowns.

Alex Berenson, a former reporter for The New York Times, explained to Tucker Carlson how Emanuel attempted to profit off of the COVID lockdowns.

“Zeke is doing good by doing well and doing well by doing good. He has his own consulting firm where he consults with people for profit to make money from giving them recommendations about how to get around and get past the lockdown advice that he’s pushing, the lockdown that he’s pushing,” Berenson told Carlson.

“The company is, it’s basically consulting, if you reopen, here’s how to reopen safely. He’s encouraging lockdowns to be in place and to be sort of moved back phase by phase. And then if you have a business where you actually want to have customers, he’s going to tell you, he and others, are going to tell you how you can do that. And I think it’s easy to sort of underestimate how big a business COVID has become,” he continued. “Testing alone, at this point, we are spending almost a billion dollars a week on testing. Nothing else.”

If Joe Biden is anything like other presidents, he's going to fill his cabinet and his federal agencies with bureaucrats who are equally as corrupt and self-interested. Meanwhile, the American people will be left to foot the bill, struggling under ever-higher taxes to fund these wasteful agencies and programs.

It's time for a change in D.C. We can't rely on the federal government to reform itself, which is why the people and the states must call the first-ever Article V Convention of States.

A Convention of States is called under Article V of the Constitution, and it has the power to propose constitutional amendments that limit the size, power, and jurisdiction of the federal government -- including all federal agencies.

These amendments can eliminate some agencies altogether by vesting in the states all power to regulate certain topics. Amendments can also reduce the power of these agencies by forcing Congress to do its job and pass all "rules" that have the force of law.

If you're tired of corrupt, two-faced bureaucrats running our country, Article V contains the solution. The Founders gave us a Convention of States for such a time as this, and it's time we used it.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
