Convention of States President Mark Meckler recently appeared on the Tucker Carlson Today show to tell the popular Fox News host about a grassroots-led solution to save America.
Carlson opened the show by discussing the effect President Donald Trump had on permanent Washington. He described how the Deep State hated him because he became a threat to their status quo. He then noted that an Article V Convention of States–by which the American people could limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials–would be a continuation of Trump’s “shock to the system.”
They both agreed that Washington will never give up power on its own. According to Meckler, the genius of Article V is that it completely bypasses the federal government.
“Congress has no say,” he explained. “The President has no say. The courts have no say. This was put in the Constitution specifically to allow people like us to wire around DC. The point was DC might break someday, and it might not be responsive to the people, and we might have to do something about that. So that's why this provision of Article V was put in there.”

Meckler admitted that calling the first-ever Convention of States would not be easy. Just as they did to Trump, the Deep State will assuredly come after any threat to their deep-seated corruption and power.
But the fight for freedom, he contended, is worth it.
“Having the entire power of the federal government or state come after you, it's overwhelming. It's intimidating…. The question is, what are we fighting for? And what do we really believe in,” he asked.
“If we are going to save the Republic, it's going to take that kind of courage and that kind of commitment.”
Meckler praised the Convention of States’ grassroots army for enlisting in the fight to save the country no matter the cost. “This is the army,” he boasted, “that saves America.”
