We see things differently. Anyone who reads history or the Bible might agree that we humans have always been at odds. If we think our deep cultural animosities are unique to our time, remember that our beloved United States fought a Civil War not only to end slavery but more importantly to keep us united.
What’s different about America is that we citizens are supposed to be engaged in directing and monitoring the actions of our elected representatives. Prior to our founding the typical civil structure was king or dictator controlling serfs and slaves.
We have been given an opportunity to control our own fate, but that requires effort. If we do not act, we will soon be robbed of our liberties. When presidents issue executive orders that bypass congress, we are essentially giving up our right to self-governance.
The Bill of Rights or Globalism
Global Agenda
The World Economic Forum’s 30 By 30 Initiative is just another example of global elites, who think they know better than anyone else, surreptitiously executing a plan to equalize everyone but themselves.
“196 countries committed to protecting at least 30% of Earth’s lands, inland waters, coastal areas and ocean by 2030 to ensure that natural capital is sustained for inter-generational prosperity.”
The Problem Is Spin
Of course, saving the planet for future generations sounds wonderful. Sadly, lofty ideas have a seamy underbelly when the reality of their execution is destruction of individual property rights. If the government plans to “save” 30% of all US land now, then 50% by 2050, what happens to control by We the People?
Saving pristine land means no control over water use, no grazing, no mining, no fishing, no recreation, no development, nor tourism. Imagine that your property could be enrolled in a “conservation easement,” which means federal control, without your knowledge.
To Do
Engaged citizens need to be aware of Florida conservation legislation and how conservation funds are used. We need to know exactly what conservation easements allow and prohibit before we assume and agree that “Saving Mother Earth” is a good thing.
