HCR1 was voted ITL- Inexpedient to legislate
We will have to start over in the Senate. Let us know if your Senator wants to sponsor us this fall.
This is where you can learn now to remotely sign in for the Senate, how to submit written testimony, and how to sign up to speak on a bill. It is slightly different than the House.
It is never too early to learn how to make your requests known at a Senate hearing. Here are the details.
Thank you for contacting your House Reps! You made a difference!
Did your House Rep vote how you asked them too? Please thank the House Reps that supported HCR1. Please also ask them to inspire their legislator friends who did not support us this time around to please vote YES for us next time.
Here is the link for the roll call so you can see who supported us.
For any of your House Reps that did not support us, please ask why and email back to us. We will provide you a link answering their objections so they can feel confident in the future supporting us.

For inspiration, here are a few words from our State Director, Al Brandano.
Here is the link to the livestream of the House Floor vote.
I recently spoke with a Legislator who was planning on voting NO on HCR1. He had concerns and also received many emails in opposition. He heard his colleague Rep Dan McGuire speak on the floor and was persuaded to vote YES to HCR1! You just never know how your affirmative expression of why you support a Convention of States can influence another!
It was refreshing to hear the positive words on the House floor from both sides of the isle, as COS is truly non-partisan!
I have a special admiration for these Democrats who voted for HCR1, showing that they understand COS benefits all Americans! They chose faith in our Founders who put in Article V for times such as ours. If you also appreciate their willingness to stand for your future, you can also email them your gratitude.
Rep Linda Massimillia- who spoke on our behalf at the Executive Session and on the House floor
Together we will continue to educate our legislators about using the gift our Founders gave us. This non-partisan, non-violent, responsible parental duty to rein in Washington is not over until we stop trying.
What else can we do?
While waiting on more specifics, you are always welcome to send people to www.conventionofstates.com and sign the petition. Educating as many as possible will help our grassroots movement. Any effort you are willing to give, find one other person who will also do the same. Duplicating our efforts will then quickly snowball, resulting in an ACTIVE grassroots army!
Come to one of our monthly meetings or reach out to us to say that you would like to lead one in your area. We will guide you and empower you to be a force multiplier! Invitations will be emailed when close to the date.

FOR INSPIRATION
To hear what the Committee said when deciding their vote of 13-5 on HCR1, click the recording here.
During the Executive Session on 2-3-23, the Chair reminded the committee that "we met in Reps Hall because we had such a large amount of people wishing to weigh in." That was you! Thank you! Your efforts made an impact!
GOOD NEWS TO SHARE
Both HB 269 and HB 392 are current bills that help define for the NH General Court guidelines for selecting and accountability of the delegates chosen for interstate conventions, which include all Article V's!
If any Legislators share concerns with you about any uncertainty of delegates when discussing Convention of States, you can refer them to HB 269 and HB 392. Even without these bills, all commissioners follow state agency laws, but these bills help make it clear for legislators the exact process NH will follow. As you know, confusion leads to inaction.
HISTORY TO BUILD UPON MOVING FORWARD
For those who were not able to attend, here is the COS Live Stream recording on HCR 1 hearing.
Congratulations to those who spoke in support of HCR 1!! You did fantastic at staying on point, being professional and sincere!
You took the opportunity on Jan 27th to show the committee that NH residents want the federal government's overreach to stop. We want power restored to NH, as initially designed by the original intent of the US Constitution. You choose to take action instead of complaining! Thank you!
