There is no right or wrong answer, what do you think is the weakest point in your "elevator speech"?
We've only had one constitutional convention, and it was a runaway. The Article V Convention isn't a safe process.
There’s no way to control a modern-day Article V Convention. They might throw out parts of the Bill of Rights or draft a whole new Constitution.
A Convention is a bad idea, because Congress will just take over it. Congress will choose the delegates, set the agenda, and make the rules.
The whole problem is that the federal government doesn’t obey the Constitution, so why should we think that changing it will fix anything?
We have no idea how a Convention would work, because Article V doesn’t tell us.
