Poll: 61% of Voters Believe Any GOP Presidential Candidate Would be More Effective in Handling Growing China Threat Than President Biden
Majority of Voters Say China is an Adversary to America–Rejecting President Biden’s Assertion That China is Merely a Competitor
(Austin, TX—March 9, 2023) Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group—one of America’s most accurate pollsters in 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2021—is releasing the results of a new national survey. Results were from surveys conducted February 22nd through February 26th of over 1,000 likely general election voters.
“President Biden has repeatedly tried to convince Americans that China is merely a competitor to the U.S. rather than an adversary. Not only does this poll show that the American people aren’t buying that, but China’s aggressive actions are making a mockery of Biden’s statement. The fact that voters overwhelmingly choose literally any unnamed GOP candidate over President Biden when it comes to addressing the threat from China shows how little trust Americans have in Biden’s abilities to deal with China,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States. “We are at a dangerous point in history with the threats we are facing across the globe, and President Biden and his administration are failing our nation in addressing those threats. It appears that the average American understands the threat of China on the global stage better than our current President. Americans, and the legacy of Americans who have sacrificed their lives for this nation, demand better.”
