Article V is the last line of defense the people have against an overreaching federal government, Mississippi Rep. Dan Eubanks declared in a recent interview.
We cannot continue acquiring debt at the rate we currently are, and the day will come when we have to pay the piper. Politicians have made lifetime careers in the halls of Congress, spending outrageous amounts of taxpayer funds on destructive, power-seizing agendas.
"I don't think there's anybody out there that would say, 'I love where my country is headed,'" said Eubanks. "Regardless of where you fall politically, you can recognize those truths... The only real major tool at our disposal is an Article V convention."
The Founders foresaw a day when Congress would be unwilling to regulate itself and unwilling to do what is in the best interests of the country. That day is here, and We the People have a solution.
