Mother’s Day weekend, May 12th-13th, featured beautiful weather, which may have contributed to a lower than normal turnout at the Fletcher Gun Show.
Still, our team of volunteers, District Captains, and Regional Captain was not discouraged from enthusiastically engaging attendees and gathering 75 petition signers.
The team for this event included Regional Captain Glen Englram, District Captains Amos Glaspy (117), Dan Hayden (120) and Floyd Dyess (119), and Jim Bailes, a volunteer from NC 113. For Floyd and Dan, this was their first time at a gun show.
Compared to other gun shows, there were an increased number of folks we engaged from other states, including Colorado, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
The team noted they talked to a number of young people (16-21 years of age). For many of them, the most gratifying experience at an event like this is speaking with well-informed young people.
They understand the Constitution and are concerned with what is going on around them. We encouraged them to take action and challenge their peers who are either not interested or have been swayed by the liberal media and academic institutions.
The team is already making plans for the next Fletcher gun show on July 14-15, and they would be happy to meet you! If you are in the area, stop by.
And if you would like to help, let us know. You can sign up to be a North Carolina Convention Of States volunteer here.
