Thousands to mobilize at Texas Capitol to demand legislators secure border

Published in Blog on April 12, 2023 by Brianna Kraemer

Thousands of Americans—from Texas and beyond—are expected to flood the steps of the Texas Capitol in Austin on April 29 to demand the state’s leaders declare an invasion at the southern border, authorizing the state to combat the ongoing crisis.

Chaos at the border has ensued for years, yet no efforts have successfully stopped the invasion and its deadly consequences.

The upcoming rally in Austin is centered around one crucial question: How Many More?

Whether it’s the drug cartels, deadly fentanyl, or U.S. dollars flowing to Chinese money launderers; How Many More? When it comes to trafficked children, women raped, immigrants and American citizens murdered; How Many More?

“Failure to act is undermining our national security. Texas has a moral and constitutional responsibility to act,” the event website reads. “On April 29, we will assemble at the Texas Capitol in Austin to demand that our elected leaders take action to end the humanitarian crisis at our southern border.”

The rally will feature top speakers in the fight to secure the border, including Ted Nugent, Texas Rep. Chip Roy, Lost Voices of Fentanyl Co-President Virginia Krieger, former Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan, and COS President Mark Meckler, who is organizing the event.

“What we’re saying is that we as Texans have a special obligation to protect Texas, but also to protect the country,” Meckler told the Daily Caller. “It’s our border. We have the longest contiguous border of Mexico of any state in the United States, over 1,300 miles. And our Legislature needs to step in and that’s part of HB 20.”

It’s time the American people come together in a powerful force for good. There’s strength in numbers, and a massive display of unity in Austin will undoubtedly create a positive impact on the entire nation.
