The Roller Coaster of Mask Mandates is Over – Or Is It?

Published in Blog on April 22, 2022 by Andrew Potts

Good news out of Florida for a vast majority of Americans: the unconstitutional mask mandate for planes and trains has been struck down by a Federal District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle. Finally, common sense and science – yes, peer-reviewed science that a mask does not stop the coronavirus – is being followed.

Americans were told to “follow the science” by the Biden administration but, following their science made most Americans dizzy: wear a mask; masks do not work; wear two masks; mask when you stand but not when you sit; you do not need a mask in public but your children need one at school.

The roller coaster of mask mandates is seemingly over – or is it? The Biden administration is abdicating its responsibility to unelected bureaucrats at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The White House announced on April 20 that the Biden administration would continue to defend mask mandates leveled by the Centers for Disease Control, despite airline passengers celebrating a court ruling effectively ending them. This after President Biden reacted to the ruling by telling reporters it was up to airline passengers themselves to decide whether they wanted to wear a mask. The White House Communications Team quickly ran in to mop up that comment because the people cannot possibly be trusted to decide for themselves.

All the while, the Misery Index looms in double-digit territory, supply chains are broken, food and gasoline prices continue to soar while the Biden administration’s concern is how to make American life more miserable. Their answer (besides blaming Vladimir Putin) is to waste valuable time and resources reinstating a failed mask mandate on federally controlled transportation to satisfy their insatiable thirst for power over the people.

Most Americans are willing to do their part for the good of the nation when the goal of their effort makes sense to them. The mask mandates never served the lofty goal of eradicating the coronavirus. Despite the fact that the States implementing draconian measures fared far worse than the States that lifted those measures. The federal government, drunk on their unchecked power, wants to continue these failed measures.

The time is now for Americans to determine what role the federal government should have in our lives, our homes, our businesses and our minds. Our country was founded on the ideals of a self-governing populace. Given the chance, Americans can and will determine what is best for their lives and the lives of their children. We are not looking for a savior in the CDC–we already know how to live our lives. We will decide what is the best way to get through tough times.

Ask yourself: who has my best interest at heart – me or the CDC? You know the answer. It begins by standing up for your interests and letting your voice be heard. Support an Article V Convention of States to rein in the power of a federal government gone awry and sign the petition
