No one knows why President Trump fired former FBI director James Comey.
The pro-Trump crowd says Comey got the axe because the President lost confidence in his FBI director. The anti-Trump crowd says the Commander in Chief is trying to cover up Comey’s investigation into Russian meddling in November’s election.
Whatever the reason, Comey’s firing has led the news cycle for the last three days... with no signs of slowing down. The nation is obsessed with the craziness in DC, and the circus is only getting stranger.
Meanwhile, in state legislatures across the country, patriotic Americans are working on a solution. While DC devolves into greater chaos, these individuals are looking to ensure that the federal government’s incompetence has as little effect as possible on the daily lives of the American people.
They’re doing it by pushing for the first-ever Article V Convention of States. A Convention of States is called and controlled by state legislatures, and it has the power to propose constitutional amendments that strip DC of its power and return it to the people and the states.
These amendments can restore the balance of power between the federal and state governments the founders envisioned. That way, no matter how crazy the DC circus gets, We the People remain in the driver’s seat of our nation’s future.
