The Convention of States movement believes in liberty and self-governance, but that opportunity is stolen from the estimated two million children who are trafficked every year.
The discreet, evil reality of sex trafficking exists, even if we aren’t fully cognizant of it. In a world where innocence is stolen, former federal agent Tim Ballard is shedding light on child trafficking in a new film called Sound of Freedom.
Sound of Freedom is based on the true story of Tim Ballard, who quit his job in order to devote his life to rescuing children from global sex traffickers, a cruel system that goes largely unnoticed in America.
“We know this is heartbreaking and it hurts to look at. But the first step in helping these children is hearing their stories. Not enough people know this problem exists, and even fewer people are willing to do anything about it,” said Jim Caviezel, who stars as Tim Ballard in the film.
In theaters the week of Independence Day, the movie hits close to home for COS grassroots activists residing in states with the highest levels of trafficking: California, Texas, Florida, New York, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, and Mississippi (2023's top 10 states in order).
The goal is to inspire two million people to attend the film's opening weekend to represent the two million trafficked children around the world.
“If millions of us come together today to see this film, we could propel the movement to help save millions of children around the world, and you can send the message that God's children are no longer for sale,” Caviezel encouraged.
