Sarah Santana is a leader of high character and deep faith. She joined the Convention of States Michigan team in 2021 as a District Captain, quickly followed by Region Captain.
In 2022, Sarah was named Michigan State Director. Led by her faith and drive to find success, she has built an engaged team committed to the COS mission to inform, educate, and engage with the people of Michigan.
Region Director Catherine Zemanek presented Sarah with the Challenge Coin at a gathering of volunteers on Saturday, July 13, 2024. Catherine says, "Sarah brought her unique skills in both team building and technology to the Michigan team and we are blessed to have her as State Director. Under her leadership, the Michigan team has done some amazing events and is very well-trained. It is my honor to award her a COS Challenge Coin."
The journey to success in Michigan is neither easy nor quick, so what motivates Sarah to stay in the game?
Sarah responds, “The certainty that Congress, the Supreme Court, and the presidency can't solve the structural problems that face our nation. COS is the only long-term solution to our country's problems.”
“I am proud to be a part of her team and will work to achieve our common goal of bringing change to an out-of-control federal government,” says Region Captain Chet Grant.
