The language of the United States Constitution was weighed and parsed to convey a new and revolutionary concept of government. In just three words the framers of our nation drew a line against the precedence of history. “We the People” was a direct deviation from the aristocratic form of Government.
The concept of a royal family whose members are considered to be the only viable source of leadership or that the intellectual aristocratic portion of the population would form the core of government to rule over people incapable of self-determination was repugnant to the self-reliant pioneers that placed body and soul in the balance to carve out their place in the new world. The morality of the framers which impelled them to extend the promise of self-realization and self-rule encoded in the Constitution to their fellow countrymen speaks to the decency and quality of the authors.
If we allow that the framers were men of good moral character and exacting in their intent, the Constitution was designed to limit the Federal Government to three distinct tasks.
Article I.
Section 8.
First and foremost, Congress shall collect taxes, duties, imposts, and excises to provide for federal military units in various roles solely for the defense of the various states and territories that make up the land mass that is the United States of America. A standing military force that defends the sovereign people of the United States against any foreign threat be it an individual or country.
Secondly, to regulate commerce between the various states, territories, Indian lands, and with Foreign Nations. This includes a uniform law that governs Bankruptcies and Rules of Naturalization for people who wish to become sovereign members of the United States through a legal process. This exempts people who ignore the Legal process and invade the borders of various states which violates the laws and sovereignty of the United States of America.
The last mandate specified in the Constitution is the protection of the United States dollar. Congress is tasked with maintaining the value of the dollar within the various states, territories, and throughout the rest of the world.
The laws created by the federal congress shall be subject to scrutiny by the Supreme Court and when deemed constitutional shall be executed in their entirety by the executive branch. Any deviation from these various mandates by elected members of the federal government and officials appointed to bureaucratic positions should be considered a breach of their oath of office. The consequence of their actions should be their dismissal from the position they hold and a lifetime exemption from holding any position within the federal government. In the case of extreme abuse or neglect of their oath of office, an indictment of treason should be considered and prosecuted by a court, juried by twelve sovereign citizens, convened for that purpose.
The moral stance of all our federal servants should be that if it is not within the constitution’s mandate, it is not my job.
