No farmers, no food, no future is an international movement to protect farmers from regulations and taxes designed to rid the world of farmers and control the remaining food supply. Just yesterday, December 12th, there was a protest in the United Kingdom by Farmers and their allies to protest an inheritance tax [1] , which would affect farmers. California isn’t exempt from this fight.
California currently produces a third of the vegetables and three-fourths of the fruits and nuts for the United States of America. [2] Protecting this food supply is critical. Fresno County farmer, Joe Del Bosque, claims farmers want undocumented migrants to do the farming, because they claim that they can’t find American citizens that want to do the work. [3]
There are a few problems with this. First the drug cartels and international crime syndicates have established themselves in California enslaving some undocumented migrants for producing marijuana. Not only is this modern-day slavery, but this also effects the water supply. Marijuana requires a lot of water. [4] When crime syndicates are involved, then other illegal activities are involved. For example a central county Sheriff caught Mexican cartels involved in a crime ring that was stealing farm equipment. [5]
It's easy for farmers to complain about not being able to hire undocumented immigrants, but undocumented means illegal. And that might lead farmers’ business up to being controlled by cartels that are in the agricultural industry. Cartels are a serious problem. It becomes important to support the local Sheriff Departments and pray that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement begins following existing laws under the new administration.
There’s another issue with the water according to avocado farmer Noel Stehly, which stems from no longer getting the water from Northern California, and that’s having too much salt in the water. This is killing his plants. He doesn’t believe the water situation is going to be fixed. [6]
California State and National leadership are failing Californians. The open borders combined with a Sanctuary State demonstrates the necessity that California would benefit from being a state of Law and Order. And the water problems within the state cry for innovative solutions.
What can you do? You can look at your skills and background, and begin to do something that will make a difference in anyway that you can. And join Convention of States by signing the petition, and begin volunteering time. Together we can become a State of self-governing people who follow the US Constitution as our founding fathers intended. It’s time for California Patriots to join the self-governance movement to protect justice, law and order.
