Recent polling summarized in a SFGate article by Eric Ting describes voter beliefs about who is responsible for government overreach and unsupported policies.
SFGate gained access to a briefing document that summarized internal polling results of 1,000 voters in the 60 most competitive House districts for the upcoming 2022 midterms.
Voters reacted to 6 issues about the current Democrat-led House of Representatives, paraphrased:
- 57% say Democrat-led House has taken things like COVID-19 mandates too far and furthermore,
- 64% say it supports defunding the police
- 62% say it has created a border crisis
- 61% say it is spending money out of control
- 61% say it supports teaching kids Critical Race Theory
- 59% say it is pursuing a divisive agenda
Newly breaking worldwide events add more fuel to the tyranny that is pushing ahead globally and threatens citizens. Consider what we’ve learned about government excesses in Canada and Australia, and the indefatigable Wokeness here at home.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine brings growing concerns that our current administration has aggravated a horrible dilemma facing the United States and NATO, trading energy for lives.
We are here largely due to the Biden administration’s unsupported yet dogged and all-in pursuit of a green globe, thereby killing our domestic energy independence and impairing national security. The further irony is that it makes the planet dirtier by shifting to dirtier fossil fuels from other countries.
This polling is revealing, and just one more data point begging for a way for citizens of all spectrums to regain control of their federal government. We know based on years of research and grass roots development that the single best way to accomplish this is through an Article V Convention of States. In fact, it may be the only practical way to gain control of government overreach.
The good news is that we’re more than halfway there: 19 of 34 state legislatures needed have already passed the Convention of States resolution, and the country as a whole is becoming increasingly aware of the need for some way to regain control of the federal government bureaucracy.
Realizing our design for a well-focused, consensus building Convention of States will improve our ability to engage and influence our federal government’s priorities. It will re-align We the People and the Constitution. Join the Convention of States movement by signing the petition and join our grassroots volunteer army in Maryland to achieve these aims.
