I write this article in support of the Convention of States Action movement in hopes of convincing each of you, Democrat, Republican, and Independent, that it is far past time for our state legislators to pass a Resolution calling for the convening of an Article V convention.
A convention would be restricted to only three topics: 1) fiscal restraints on the federal government, 2) limit its power and jurisdiction, and 3) impose term limits on federal officials, which could include members of Congress, the Supreme Court, and senior leadership within the Washington bureaucracy.
These three amendments are critical to saving our Constitutional Republic and ending the extraordinary damage being done by Marxist-Communist-leaning political leaders determined to destroy our beloved Constitution and not protect the people they have sworn to represent.
It is far past time for Democrats, Republicans, and Independents to understand that this movement to convene a Convention of States is absolutely non-partisan, and failure to do so will have a dramatic impact on you, your children, grandchildren, and generations to come regardless of your affiliation.
When Congress's “agenda” is to cave to Big Pharma for unproven antivirus insulin costing taxpayers billions of dollars; cave to unconstitutional mandates for these vaccines; attack gun ownership by law-abiding citizens; support bankrupting Green New Deal initiatives; then amendments calling for term limits and fiscal restraints to combat government overreach is clearly justified.
When registered Republicans, Democrats, and their congressional representatives, who are all too aware of the potentially fatal deterioration of this once great nation, keep reelecting the same old candidates and the same old party leadership, somehow believing that doing the same thing over and over again will somehow bring change to America’s out-of-control government, then an amendment calling for term limits is clearly justified.
It is time for every state legislator across our great nation, who has sworn an oath to protect our Constitution – and We the People – to realize that under the existing federal congressional system, we your constituents and our Constitution are in dire danger.
Our state legislators must find the courage and fortitude to stand up and support the convening of a Convention of States to preclude this outcome.
It is time for every reader to move out of their comfort zone and do the right thing to save our Constitutional Republic. Get involved, sign the petition, and stand up for America's future.
