Meet Michele, who drove 70 miles on Independence Day to help at the Convention of States information table at the Leadership Institute's annual Soiree.
As crowds of people thronged around the table throughout the 4 hour event in the heat of the day, Michele helped them understand how Convention of States effectively puts the heat on the problems in Washington, D.C.
After learning that COS can propose amendments to impose term limits on federal officials, reduce federal overreach, and require fiscal responsibility, Michele became a COS Virginia volunteer.
"I decided it was time to help make a stand and get as many people involved as possible," declared Michele.
One of her favorite projects is blockwalking for COS, going door to door with petitions for people to sign so we can get our COS resolution to a vote in Virginia's General Assembly.
Michele is also active on Telepatriot, an amazing cell phone app that allows COS volunteers to make phone calls to activate the public to self-governance.
The secret to passing our resolution in Virginia is to grow our grassroots army who will then use their political muscle in Richmond to urge our state legislators to use their unique role in passing the Convention of States resolution.
Currently 19 of the required 34 states have passed the COS resolution. When will Virginia join that list?
You, too, can join Michele in making a difference. Sign the petition below, so that a copy will be sent to your state legislators.
