This week we're remembering the amazing life and legacy of Dr. Tom Coburn.
Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler penned a touching tribute to America's last great statesman, and we explained Dr. Coburn's amazing work advocating for the Convention of States Project.
Yesterday Mark had the chance to appear on The Mark Levin show to further remember Dr. Coburn and how he first got involved with the Convention of States Project.
"The whole time I knew Tom, he was a man of principle and integrity," Mark said.
Dr. Coburn was never one to profit politically from any movement or organization. He intentionally shied away from aligning himself with the Tea Party, for example, not because he disagreed with principles of fiscal responsibility but because he didn't want to take advantage of a grassroots movement.
When it came to the Convention of States Project, he joined the movement because he believed in it -- not because he was compelled by the Project's leadership.
In fact, as Mark explains in the video below, we first found out that Dr. Coburn would be joining our cause from a Fox News segment.
