The Time is Now

Our federal government is out of control. Runaway bureaucracy, bloated budgets, and massive deficits push us into fiscal oblivion.  Do you feel helpless against the powers that be?  Rest easy.  There is something we can do to stop the madness.

Patriots around the nation are mobilizing to rein in the federal colossus, using a powerful procedure to amend the Constitution that was envisioned by our Founders: A Convention of States.

Our Founders anticipated that the government they were creating would eventually run afoul of their intentions for a limited federal bureaucracy.  How can we rein in the federal government?  Article V of the US Constitution empowers the states to convene a convention of the states to propose amendments.  This is the best way to restore authority to the states.

The Constitution was designed to be difficult to amend. Article V spells out two amendment proposal methods.  First, by approval of 2/3 of both chambers of Congress.  The second is by 2/3 of the states (34) adopting a resolution calling for a convention of the states to debate and propose amendments limited to the topics in the resolution.  Both methods require that such proposed amendments be ratified by at least 3/4 (38) of the states in order to be added to our Constitution.

Washington DC will never limit itself.  Presidents come and go, but Washington remains broken. Our goal is to convene a Convention of States under Article V of the US Constitution to propose amendments to the Constitution that will:

1. Impose fiscal restraint on the federal government;

2. Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government; and,

3. Limit the terms of office for federal officials, members of Congress and the Supreme Court.

Please call your state Senator and Representative and ask them to support the Convention of States. The time is now.
