2/18/25 - Iowa House subcommittee advances Article V application

Convention of States supporters joined Iowa legislators in a subcommittee of the Iowa House Committee on State Government for a roundtable discussion on House Joint Resolution (H.J.R.) 6, the COS Article V application. After hearing several proponent testimonies, the subcommittee voted to pass the application, which will now appear before the full committee.

2/17/25 - Double-Header in the Gem State

The Idaho House Committee on Judiciary, Rules, and Administration considered the COS application for an Article V convention and 34|Ready model legislation, voting to pass both measures. Droves of COS grassroots supporters and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum testified in favor of using Article V to limit the federal government.

2/19/25 - Iowa House committee to vote on Article V application

The Iowa House State Government committee is scheduled to vote on House Joint Resolution 6 -- the COS resolution to make application to Congress to call an Article V convention -- at 10:30 a.m. ET/9:30 a.m. CT. The hearing can be viewed in real time on COS LIVE:

Update: The Iowa House State Government Committee meeting concluded without getting to the resolution and has deferred debate and vote upon H.J.R. 6 to next week's meeting of the committee. Stay tuned for details and information about live coverage.
