Republicans campaigned against reckless government spending and emphatically promised to end this reckless spending if elected.
GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy announced his “Commitment to America,” promising if the Republicans won back the House, fiscal discipline would be one of the top priorities.
Well, Republicans won the House, so you’d think they would actually remember their “Commitment to America” and begin curtailing wasteful spending.
Wrong!
The greatest waste is “Earmarks.” Money was provided to bribe states to increasingly relinquish their sovereignty to the federal government.
Less than a month after winning the House, Kevin McCarthy and the Republican Party have already broken their promise and unreservedly embraced earmarks.
On Wednesday, November 30, the House GOP voted overwhelmingly, 158-52, against a proposal to ban earmarks.
This disproportionate vote in favor of pork-barrel spending is symptomatic of Washington’s out-of-touch approach to governing which painfully includes Republicans.
With a national debt above $33 trillion, inflation around 8%, and no sign of spending restraint, the American people need leaders to say enough is enough.
Will it be Kevin McCarty or the Republican Party, in which we had placed our trust? No!
Mitch McConnell on December 1 signaled his support for a bloated Democrat omnibus spending bill, allowing the Biden administration to cement their agenda through the end of this fiscal year. No!
So here we are, again, watching Republicans breaking their promises and helping bring America to destruction.
So how long America before you realize politicians will never keep their promises to balance the budget and end “Earmarks” which dissolve State sovereignty?
How much longer America before we go bankrupt, and China recalls our debt to them?
Then what? Will China confiscate all federally owned properties to satisfy this debt?
So, how much longer America, before you realize that the “only” path to resolving our problems is through the convening of a Convention of States to propose amendments to the Constitution requiring term limits, balanced budgets, and restricted federal jurisdiction?
Amendments that would greatly curtail, if not totally stop, the Washington swamp from destroying America.
How much longer before our state legislators realize that they are the only ones standing between “We the People” and the federal bureaucracy's destruction of our constitutional Republic?
How much more deterioration of our God-given rights under our Constitution and the deterioration of state sovereignty, will it take before our state legislators find the courage to stand up and support the convening of a Convention of States to rein in our out-of-control federal government?
How much longer America, before you realize this truth and go to conventionofstates.com and sign our petition in support of convening a Convention of states to save our constitutional Republic before it’s too late?
How much longer America?
