Last week the COS Nevada team headed to an event at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump. During the 5-day course, a couple special guests attended including President of COS Action, Mark Meckler and Lt. Colonel Allen West.
Another attendee was a District Captain from Ohio who drove 6 days from Florida to a make the course. His name is Dave Bennett, and I was able to conduct a phone interview with him after the course. You can listen to the full interview here.
Dave got started in COS after seeing the problems with our federal government. He also mentioned his grandkids and wanting to leave behind a better country for them. It is inspiring to see someone who is almost 80 so passionate about anything, especially making out nation better.
Mr.Bennett saw this event as an opportunity to meet more liberty minded people and hone his firearm skills. He also gave some great advice to new District Captains to take initiative with new volunteers.
The Front Sight Training was a great opportunity for the Nevada team to come together and meet great people like Dave Bennett. It was a pleasure to talk to him about the training and our nation.
