As we ponder these terrible stats, we can barely stomach them!
We The People need both answers & remedial action.
What possible purpose was there in creating such an open border policy to permit this type of incursion-invasion-infection to run wild?
It’s as if one were deliberately taking venom to experiment and see how long the body can resist such an insult to its health.
Of course, "the body" in this instance is our Republic, The United States of America.
One cannot imagine there will be zero consequences from such deliberate lack of oversight. Terrible crimes committed to-date may likely pale in comparison with those in the future. We can pray that is not the case!
Example to be wary of:
Recent DRONES sightings are a major concern. These infamous large & menacing drones seen flying over multiple northeastern states come to mind. Isn’t it possible that known or unknown criminals and terrorists who have penetrated our sieve-like borders (southern and northern) might be orchestrating potential mayhem? Our leadership at DHS has fruitlessly tried to calm down understandably worried residents of these states where the drones have congregated, while the origin of these drones is still unknown. The sheer apathy and tone deaf nature of our leaders are appalling but not novel.

The Department of Homeland Security consists of the following, as stated on their Website:
'The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was established by the Homeland Security Act of 2002, (6 U.S.C. 101 note). The Department came into existence on January 24, 2003, and is administered under the supervision and direction of the Secretary of Homeland Security.
The Department of Homeland Security leads the unified national effort to secure America. It will prevent and deter terrorist attacks and protect against and respond to threats and hazards to the Nation. The Department will ensure safe and secure borders, welcome lawful immigrants and visitors, and promote the free-flow of commerce.

We know we cannot possibly prevent every destructive act of sabotage or attack to our civilian or military infrastructure. However, when our government recklessly invites such perpetrators into the heartland, that is a crime unto itself.
That failure is well deserving of investigation, indictment, trial and appropriate punishment of the senior parties involved, once found guilty.
And no one can claim that undertaking that type of legitimate legal action is unwarranted or an act of vengeance. Such actions are justified as accountability to American citizens is needed to set an example and prevent such extreme hazardous behavior from occurring in the future.
Here is what constitutes a major dereliction of duty in our federal government:
Elected and appointed officials within our federal government take an oath of office before undertaking their constitutional duties.
The Oath:
"Do you solemnly swear that you will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that you will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that you take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that you will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which you are about to enter: So help you God?”
Do we seriously believe that those in charge of Homeland Security over the past 4 years have adhered to this oath?
Can anyone, regardless of political affiliation, express absolute faith in the intention of all our leaders in Washington DC to have obeyed this oath?
It is demeaning to all Americans when such leaders continue to claim to have done and be doing all they can to protect us from "all enemies, foreign and domestic”!!
I shall repeat myself here, as it is worthwhile revisiting these important themes, as they bring us hope in the midst of absorbing these disturbing events:
Convention of States can be a vehicle to bring such critical security matters to the attention of all of America at the State level, by convening & conducting an Article V convention. That way, if Congress (or the other two branches of government) consistently fail to do their duties as prescribed in the Constitution, the States have the legal right to call for a convention to review how best to discuss fixing what has been broken.
At Convention of States, we strongly uphold and protect our constitutional republic by adhering to the Constitution as it was originally created, together recognizing all subsequent amendments duly ratified by the States; we encourage interested parties to research us, to sign our petition (calling for amendment topic proposals supported by a majority of fellow citizens), as follows:
We can achieve these goals without relying on Congress which has yet to police itself, by-passing all other branches of government, as we can propose legislation via amendments requiring ratification by 3/4 of the states.
The 3 topics/issues to be addressed in an Article V Convention that our grass roots movement has proposed are as follows:
1. Term Limits for Congress & Bureaucrats in Washington DC
2. Fiscal Responsibility
3. Reduction in the size and scope of the federal government
