Convention of States Action was founded in August 2013; eight months later, on April 21, 2014, the Sunshine State became one of the first states in the Union to pass the Convention of States Resolution. This week, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, the Florida team celebrated an early 10-year anniversary, featuring Convention of States President Mark Meckler as a guest speaker at the annual “Rally In Tally” event.
The historic day kicked off with a sunrise prayer meeting on the 22nd floor of the Florida Capitol Building, in which the grassroots prayed over legislators before campaigning for COS.
A few hours later, a crowd gathered outside the Capitol to hear speeches from several Article V proponents, including Mark Meckler.

“This is real America,” Mark said, describing the crowd.
“If you want to meet great patriots clustered together, go out into just regular America, small-town America," he continued. “The kind of America that you never see on the network television. You don’t hear about it on the radio. And what you find is still a great hope and great belief for this country."
