Last week the Convention of States application was filed in the Pennsylvania legislature and has been referred to the House State Government Committee.
Representative Matt Gabler introduced the resolution (House Resolution 206), which calls for a convention to propose amendments under Article V of the U.S. Constitution.
Once passed by two-thirds of the states, the commissioners will consider amendments that “impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress.”
The process has officially begun, and we will be keeping you updated at every step along the way.
If your representative is Matt Gabler, thank him for being the prime sponsor of our resolution. If your representative is one of the 25 House members that joined Rep. Gabler as a co-sponsor, make sure to thank him or her for the support.
