COS Hawaii Welcomes Mark Meckler to Oahu

Published in Blog on November 10, 2022 by Brett Kulbis

Less than a month after the highly successful COS Reclaiming Liberty Summit in Orlando, COSA President Mark Meckler visited Hawai'i from November 1st to the 3rd.

Mark hit the ground running with State Representative Sam Kong at the Capitol, a big supporter of COS and introducer of our resolution. It was a very productive meeting. As Mark always says, "it's about relationships."

That evening the COSHI Team broke bread with Mark at the 604 Restaurant Pearl Harbor. In attendance were nine of the ten-member team that attended the summit, and two of our volunteers from our petition signing event at the beginning of October. State Director Mark White presented him with our “Freedom Shirt" worn by the team to the 2019 summit in Williamsburg.

The next day was just as busy. Mark started with a drive to the second city of Kapolei to meet with State Senator Mike Gabbard at Down to Earth Organic & Natural store. It was another very productive meeting.

Following the meeting with Senator Gabbard, Mark hustled to Liliha Bakery on Nimitz for a meeting with key community leaders Jim Hochberg of Hawai'i Family Advocates, Eva Andrade of Hawai'i Family Forum, Susan Duffy of the Pearson Foundation, and Lynn Finnegan 2016 Simulation Delegate from Hawai'i, as well as key COSHI Leaders Mark White, Brett Kulbis, Sheryl Bieler, Tamara McKay and Renee Cruz.

Mark's Oahu visit culminated in a Townhall Event at the Oahu Veterans Center. Over 60 COS petition signers attended and Mark, as usual, was engaging and motivating. It was a fantastic event.

"Mark's comments knocked it out of the park! What he said about how our nation's history of discord and cultural conflict became the driving force for the creation of our US Constitution, really opened the eyes of the many different groups represented at our Oahu event."  – Mark White State Director

Big mahalo to our friend Kyle Kaiser with Hawai'i Free Speech News for covering our event.

Mark departs Oahu leaving everyone that had the opportunity to see and speak with him more energized about the Convention of States movement.
