The No Taxpayer Funding for CZARS Act introduced last week by House Republicans aims to ban federal funding for any activity of the special presidential envoy for climate, including salary, administrative and travel expenses.
Essentially, the bill targets John Kerry, the multi-billionaire climate activist who flies the world in a private jet while telling the working class that they need to pay up for the environment.
Republicans are blaming the Biden administration's “climate tyrants” for the current energy crisis that is causing the price of gas and other energy sources to soar through the roof.
The eight co-sponsors of the proposed legislation are Reps Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, Lauren Boebert, Scott Perry, Mary Miller, Louie Gohmert, Andy Biggs and Greg Steube.
“The Biden administration’s jet-setting "climate czar" is actively destroying reliable American energy by saddling us with outrageous commitments at hypocritical climate conferences, pressuring banks not to lend to fossil fuel producers, and fighting to end oil and gas production,” Roy said in a statement.
“Enough. If we're going to fight for energy freedom in this country, we have to defund climate tyrants like John Kerry; my bill would do just that.”
The Washington elite don’t seem to be good at anything but spending other people’s money, and sliding some cash to their foreign and domestic friends. Like Kerry, many employed by the federal government have jobs that contribute no actual benefit to We the People. But instead, they remain employed and only expand the size and scope (and debt) of the government.
Convention of States, along with Rep. Chip Roy and many other endorsers in Congress, want to stop the reckless spending and get our country back on track.
There is a peaceful solution to an overreaching government right in our Constitution under Article V. We the People can call a convention for the states to meet and discuss amendments to the Constitution, including budget requirements and term limits.
The bureaucrats don’t give up power and they don’t give up money, and we see that clearly with the Biden administration's employment of the useless John Kerry. Not to mention, he recently told us that the climate change revolution will cost trillions – but he forgot to say who will be paying.
