The Convention of States Connecticut team attended the Stratford Gun Collectors Show in Orange on Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10. Coalitions Director Richard Legg took the lead by obtaining a table for our group.
It was a beautiful fall weekend in New England, resulting in a healthy turnout of gun enthusiasts. Most of those who visited our table showed complete support. Just the idea of imposing term limits on Congress was enough for some to ask, “Where do I sign?”
Seventy-two patriots signed the petition, asking our state legislature to vote yes on the Convention of States resolution. Others picked up our handouts and business cards, curious to learn more about the Convention of States project.
Several people also signed up to become volunteers to help spread the word among their circle of influence.
Look for us at the largest gun show in Connecticut in 40 years, sponsored by Ye Connecticut Gun Guild. The event will take place on November 21 and 22 at the USS Chowder Pot IV (Promenade Room, 165 Brainard Road, Hartford, CT 06114).
We anticipate a large turnout, more petition signers, and a growing volunteer base. We’re letting the Connecticut legislature know we mean business.
