Who: Dean Jeffery Wisconsin Convention of States District Captain and Team
What: Come visit our booth at the Sheboygan County Fair
Where: 229 Fairview Drive, Plymouth, WI 53073
When: Thursday August 31, Friday Sept 1, Saturday Sept 2, Sunday Sept 3, Monday Sept 4 (Labor Day)
Why: Education. Learn about Article V (five) of our Constitution, what it says and how Convention of States is using it to
a) Impose Fiscal Responsibility on Washington DC, and the Administrative State
b) Term Limits for our Federal Government in DC and the 438 Federal Agencies and Sub Agencies.
c) Stop the overreach from our Central Government. Like not forcing us to take vaccines and wear masks etc.
How will this work? That is a very big order! Something this important, needs practice. It also is an opportunity to educate everyone, the delegates, the state legislatures, the Federal Government and most importantly we the people about Article V and how it works.
Recently, the Convention of States Foundation hosted a Simulation of a Convention in Williamsburg, VA. We asked two delegates or commissioners from each state to come to the Simulation and to discuss the actual wording of the possible various amendments to our existing constitution.
It was amazing what happened. There was extensive discussion among the committee members and it took quite a bit of work to agree to six possible amendments. Come to the Sheboygan County Fair and we can tell you about it. Many of us watched the last day of the Simulation when the amendments proposed from each committee were voted on by the full practice Convention. Visit our website to learn more about it https://conventionofstates.com
This was the second Simulation of an Article V Convention Convention of States Foundation also hosted in 2016.
