As Americans, we do not take kindly to our own countrymen joining forces with other nations to erode the guaranteed rights of Americans. But unfortunately, this is exactly what is happening.
In August 2021 the Mexican government filed suit against several prominent U.S. firearms manufacturers with the assistance of Gun Control Group Brady, formerly (Handgun Control Inc.). More than a dozen Democrat-controlled states also joined the suit via amicus briefs. Never forget, these are Americans joining with foreigners to attempt to take away your constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms.
On September 30th, 2022, a federal judge citing the PLCAA Act dismissed the Mexican government’s case stating: “This court does not have the authority to ignore an act of congress. Nor is its proper role to devise stratagems to avoid statutory commands.”
Mexico attempted to blame US gun makers for the cartel and other crimes in the country. Mexico’s brazen attempt to deflect from its own inability to protect its citizens by blaming its neighbor to the north is not surprising at all. What is very concerning is American gun control advocates who are willing to collaborate with foreign powers against American citizens' guaranteed rights.
If the enemies of freedom are successful in weakening the PLCAA Act, they will be able to sue American gun manufacturers with the goal of bankrupting them through litigation. We must not allow this to happen in the United States of America.
Gun control advocates who lost in the 2008 D.C. v. Heller decision are now willing to employ any strategy to push gun control – even if that means collaborating with a foreign power against their own countrymen. These groups and their supporters should be viewed as traitors.
Washington is broken. Here at Convention of States, we have a solution as big as the problem. An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to PROPOSE constitutional amendments.
Our three limited points of discussion:
1. Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government (including the president)
2. Limit the terms of office for federal officials
3. Limit the ability of Congress and the president to spend and waste our hard-earned money via a Balanced Budget Amendment
