According to a March 25, 2022, article in Libery New by Andrew Moran, “President Joe Biden casually dropped a bombshell during a NATO emergency summit news conference. The president revealed that 'real' energy and food shortages are coming to a supermarket, utility, and gasoline station near you, exacerbating the current inflationary crisis spiraling out of control in the US.
 
"It’s going to be real. The price of the sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia. It’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well," Biden told reporters.

The US Congress has not reacted to this crisis by calling an emergency session to pass emergency bills and unleash the power of the US energy sector to regain the ground lost by the slew of sanctions and shutdowns the Biden administration imposed upon it from day one of taking office. Instead, they passed a 21% “Members Representational Allowance” in a recent spending bill they passed, which is “government speak” for a pay raise for them and all their staff!
 
While the rest of America is struggling with 7.9% (and climbing) inflation and trying to make ends meet, our leaders at the federal level have found a way to cushion themselves from the effects of disastrous national fiscal, economic, and security policies which ultimately cannot be blamed on Putin and the Ukraine war as the federal administration and their mainstream media mouthpiece would have us believe, but rather on the administration itself.
 
A nation that was not only energy independent but also the largest global exporter of the same during President Trump's tenure, that within a year under the current administrations “green new deal” policies is back dependent on the foreign energy sector, with 10% of our oil now coming from Russia, cannot expect to escape the fall out when that 10% of supply is suddenly disrupted!

Everything in our economy runs on energy: fertilizer, farmers ability to plant, harvest, and transport that harvest along with all the other products we use depends on oil and gas. Yet with the current Russian/Ukraine conflict affecting the largest producers of wheat on the planet, why is our Commander and Chief telling us to get ready for “real” energy and food shortages, instead of lifting restrictions on domestic energy production to help combat this crisis?

Believe it or not, right now the Biden administration and Michigan Governor Whitmer are trying to shut down another oil and gas pipeline out of Canada into Michigan that will affect gas and fuel prices in Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania!

Just a few weeks ago, “Democrats – and one Republican – in the House of Representatives killed an attempt to shake the dependency on Russian oil. The American Energy Independence from Russia Act would have reauthorized the Keystone XL pipeline, increased how much natural gas can be produced, and allowed more drilling both on land and in the Gulf. Aside from Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who worried it would get in the way of offshore weapons testing, only Democrats opposed it. I think it is time for us to enact the “emergency provision” our founding fathers left us in Article V of our US Constitution that enables “We the people” to call for a Convention of States that will pass constitutional amendments to rein in this out of control federal government. We need real practical solutions to this current crisis and we need them fast!
