Babysitting the Construction Material

Published in Blog on July 12, 2023 by Robert Bonhag

Our military contractors were paid $3 million daily to watch the materials amassed on the US southern border to build the border wall. That amounted to $2 billion to watch those materials… Who benefits from this expenditure? We know that contractors are the ultimate beneficiaries.

In this example, instead of constructing the wall, the Biden administration suspended the project and spent 20% of the total project fund on babysitting.

There is no sensible outcome and no visible benefits for the citizens. In fact, illegal immigration and drug trafficking have devastating impacts on the US economy, costing Americans in terms of money, health (even death from fentanyl), and human trafficking. Could a southern wall have been used to mitigate the illegal migrations (and provide a benefit instead of costing us babysitting expenses)?

We know many examples of other expenses that are not understood or mismanaged in other construction projects in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Stay tuned to our Blogs to know more about how your government is frittering away your money.
