A Bird’s Eye View Begs the Question: What’s Really Going On?!

Published in Blog on July 20, 2021 by Jonna Hoppes

The Founders realized that We the People might have to rein in the federal government. They were right. Never in our history has the federal government so blatantly disregarded limits set forth in the Constitution or the rights of the people. A bird’s eye view makes us wonder, “What’s going on?”

The Constitution spells out the powers granted to the federal government. All other rights not prohibited by the Constitution are reserved to the states or to the people. Over the years, the federal government encroached on States’ rights, but recently, that encroachment has become a massive power grab.

For example, the Constitution directly gives state legislatures the right to regulate elections. However, HR1 and S.1 are direct attempts by Congress to federalize the election process. When S.1 failed in the Senate, the federal government began suing individual states over their election laws. In the meantime multiple bills designed to undermine voting integrity wait in the wings. Why?

Biden’s massive $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill includes an innovative grant program that moves to eliminate single-family homes in suburbs throughout the United States. In short, they plan to control local zoning laws using our tax dollars. Why?

Speaking of taxes, the Constitution grants the federal government the right to determine and collect taxes. The 16th Amendment expands that power. By using tactics like reconciliation to pass the pending $3.4 trillion budget resolution, the government abuses this power and sets a course that will bankrupt our nation - threatening the stability of the dollar and wiping out our personal savings. We are currently looking at runaway inflation and yet Congress continues to tax and spend. Why? We threw a tea party for less!

We know that past administrations weaponized the IRS against conservative groups like the Tea Party. The Biden administration is proposing a measure that gives an extra $80 billion to the IRS. This proposal also includes hiring approximately 87,000 new workers with additional power to enforce IRS policies. Will the IRS again be weaponized to intimidate the people? Why?

Rising violence in big cities around the country opened the door to more government overreach. Current government actions are aimed at limiting or eliminating the Second Amendment. Congress is in the process of passing federal laws that will regulate local law enforcement. And if that’s not enough, the federal government has literally taken over a number of city police departments through consent decrees and pattern-of-practice investigations. Why?

Regulation of public education (not delegated in the Constitution and thus a State’s right) began in 1867 as a minor office in the federal government. It was expanded and established as a Cabinet-level department by President Carter in 1979. Currently The Department of Education is using taxpayer dollars to incorporate Critical Race Theory, a racist program that teaches children to judge each other based on the color of their skin, into public school curriculum. Why?

While Article I of the Constitution clearly spells out the powers granted to Congress, Article II is more ambiguous. However, it’s doubtful that the Founders planned for the presidential abuse of executive orders. On his first day in office, shortly after his inauguration, President Biden signed 17 executive orders. In just over six months the total reached 51 and counting. His executive orders include killing the Keystone Pipeline and thousands of good paying American jobs; allowing biological males to co-opt the privacy, safety and fair competition of biological females; and reversing the Trump enforcement policies on the Southern Border not only burdening our states financially, but opening the floodgates to criminals, drugs, and human trafficking. Why?

The Constitution states that the federal government will protect individual states against invasion. Custom and Border Protection (CBP) reported that 180,034 people illegally crossed the Southern Boarder in May (a 1% increase over April 2021). Just the News reported on July 15, 2021, that June’s total is 188,800 bringing “the fiscal year total to more than 1 million Custom and Border Protection encounters.” In addition, CBP reported that the total number of illegal immigrants who “got away” reached 250,000 by June 13, 2021. Vice President Harris, officially in charge of the crisis, spent a couple of hours at the airport in El Paso but hasn’t done anything to stop the invasion. Why?

This isn’t just a border crisis. Tucker Carlson Tonight broadcast on July 14, 2021, that the US military is using the Air Force to secretly move illegal immigrants throughout the United States. The federal government is breaking the law and nothing is being done to stop them. Why?

The Constitution guarantees Americans protections under the law. The Fourth Amendment protects us against unreasonable search and seizure. But the Horowitz Report tells us that Carter Page was illegally surveilled by the FBI. Recently Tucker Carlson and Sebastian Gorka reported that their private emails had been read by the National Security Agency (NSA). Are American citizens being spied on by our own government? If so, why?

According to the Epoch Times, a recent FBI tweet suggested that “Americans should monitor ‘family members and peers’ for signs of ‘mobilization to violence’ and report ‘suspicious behaviors’ in an effort to prevent extreme activities.” Why?

On April 14, 2021, Julie Kelly reported that over three dozen Trump supporters had been held in solitary confinement since January under pre-trial detention. Six months later they’re still in jail. Currently the number of jailed are in the hundreds under what appears to be indefinite detention. What about due process?

At the same time, New York dropped charges on hundreds of alleged looters and rioters who terrorized the city this past year. What happened to equal justice under the law? And why are billionaires funding campaigns for attorney generals and judges who are soft on crime?

We haven’t even touched on censorship. Big Tech makes sure the public only hears “approved” information and theories. For example, open discussion of Hunter Biden’s laptop, a possible lab-leak in Wuhan, early treatments for Coronavirus, or the true number of those with adverse reactions to vaccines is forbidden. Data released by the CDC show that between Dec. 14, 2021 and July 9, 2021, a total of 463,457 adverse events were reported to VAERS, including 10,991 deaths and 48,385 serious injuries. It’s estimated that approximately 1% to 10% of the adverse events are reported. Why?

When it comes to vaccines, it isn’t just the tech companies. Jen Psaki admitted that the White House is flagging posts for Facebook that they designate misinformation. And Surgeon General Vivek Murthy issued his first advisory targeting social media misinformation because it “poses an imminent and insidious threat to our nation’s health.” According to the Epoch Times article, Murthy’s advisory suggests that “technology platforms can redesign recommendation algorithms to avoid ‘amplifying misinformation,’ hire more people to police content, and boost messaging from ‘trusted messengers and subject matter experts.’” Biden plans to ask SMS carriers to block vaccine “misinformation” in private texts. This is government censorship and a direct violation of the First Amendment. Why are they so determined that all American get vaccinated without knowing the risks? Emergency Use Authorizations require informed consent. What’s going on?

And if that’s not close enough to home, members of the current administration have openly discussed encouraging local administrations and private businesses to mandate the use of these “one size fits all” experimental drugs that do not claim to protect you from getting, transmitting or dying from the virus. In fact, they’re considering sending “trusted messengers” door to door to “educate” the vaccine hesitant. Why?

What’s really going on? Mark Levin may have answers in his new book "American Marxism." However, we need to do something now, and that something is spelled out in Article V of the Constitution. We must push for a Convention of States and stop the power grab in Washington, DC!
