50 Patriots Who Would Have Signed: From Revolution to Cold Civil War

Published in Blog on December 28, 2021 by Will T. Zwart

On July 4, 1776, the United States of America was born. A nation born on the principles of freedom, self-governance, and God-given rights of man. A nation born in fire. And every century or so, America must be reborn through fire. But while the flames are hot and leave scars aplenty, always there are strong patriots who rise up to defend the name of freedom.

Although the 50 patriots campaign is coming to an end, we have not even scratched the surface of the sheer magnitude of would-be signers filling American history books. We've covered the Sons of Liberty, Maryland's Continental Congress delegates, men and women on the battle field, spies behind enemy lines, and the most famous of the Founding Fathers.

But would not every man who signed the Constitution also have eagerly added their signatures? What of the thousands of soldiers in the Continental Army, who battled and died for liberty in both the American Revolution and the War of 1812?

What of the fearless settlers and explorers who ventured West into untamed and unknown territory, armed with only a gun, a Bible, and fierce determination?

What of the patriots in the Civil War, who experienced many of the trials, fears, and division we know today, and yet held firm to the ideals of their country? Would they not have happily signed if it meant avoiding war?

What of the immigrants from all across the world, who left their families, their belongings, their history, and their safety to come to a better land and a better life; a life where they, not their government, determined their destiny. The life of an American.

What of the patriots in the World Wars, who witnessed the evil and depravity of Mankind at its very worst, but fought and died to preserve our great Republic?

And we do not have time to tell of the fiery trials of Korea, Vietnam, the cultural and political shifts of the 1960's and 70's, the Cold War, Afghanistan, 9/11, and even now, as world governments wield COVID-19 as a weapon against the general populace to seize power and set themselves up as dictators and tyrants.

Through every crisis and every threat, patriots have been called to defend their God-given rights by He who granted them. So now must we, for it is our obligation. We have a responsibility to ourselves, all those who came before, and Almighty God to save America, and the greatest tool we have is Article V.

We are in a Cold Civil War against Globalism. These despots have infiltrated our federal government, and committed such great evils that we cannot, in good conscience, stand by in silence as our freedoms are trodden upon, and the sacrifice of our ancestors slowly becomes futile.

A Convention of States is the last, best hope for America. Remember the revolutionaries, the pioneers, the soldiers, and the thousands of other voices of freedom throughout history. Let them inspire you to do everything in your power to save America with Article V.
