14-year-old Natalie Traver takes a stand for Convention of States in South Carolina

These days, it's hard to have much hope for the future of our country. Young people seem obsessed with socialist ideologies and primarily vote for candidates that offer them the most free stuff.

But all is not lost. Natalie Traver is only 14 years old, but she's been a super-volunteer for Convention of States South Carolina. She's testified before the legislature in the past, and according to her team, she's "an amazing young lady that is always eager to stand up for liberty."

She was back in the legislature this week as the Convention of States Resolution came up for discussion, and you DO NOT want to miss her full testimony.

"I believe there are many good people who want to do something to help, but don't know what to do. Short of running for election, what can we do to prevent the federal government from destroying our country? The answer is Convention of States," she said. "We can still save America, but we are on the edge."

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention.
