COS SC Friends Support Worthy Causes in South Carolina

Published in Blog on November 19, 2021 by Amy Hill

Our COS SC supporters are willing to represent at events supportive of great causes. Thanks to the sponsorship of Dr. Willey from Hilton Head, a dozen COS SC team members composed of volunteers and legislators participated in a clay shoot fundraiser to support kids in need of educational resources.

The Original Six Foundation hosted their 3rd annual Shoot-Out event on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Rocky Creek Sporting Clays for the purpose of raising funds to fill deficiencies of educational resources that kids so desperately need.

The COS SC team enjoyed the event and the like-minded company. They enjoyed it so much that the feedback was astoundingly positive.

"It was my great pleasure to be invited by Dr. Chuck Willey to represent the Convention of States team. I was privileged to spend the day talking with Dr. Willey, his son Dan Willey, and Representative Russell Fry about our shared enthusiasm for the progress and future of COS here in South Carolina," said Michael Dickson.

"Thank you to … the Original Six Foundation for a great time for a great cause. Special thanks to the COS organization for the special invitation to team up with an amazing group of folks for a truly fun day,” said Representative Chris Wooten.

"I was fortunate to be on a team with Jim Gettys, William Dell Jennings, and William Dell Jennings, Jr. I had never met any of them previously, but found them to be great company and accomplished shooters. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon on the sporting clays course,” said John Thompson.

"In my mind there is no better way to spend an afternoon than to discuss the importance of our country, our constitution, and our future, while exercising our Second Amendment rights," said Representative Russell Fry.

Even COS SC’s youngest advocate, Natalie Traver, attended and participated with her dad. She’s an amazing young lady that is always eager to stand up for liberty.

COS SC volunteers don’t just advocate for reining in the federal government--they also are great company to hang out with during any worthy occasion! Come hang out with liberty-minded friends and let’s make a positive impact together! Sign the petition and volunteer.
