Our mission at Convention of States is to build a grassroots army of self-governing activists in all 50 states. You are 1 of 2,678,822 self-governing activists! As a member of this grassroots army, you have the power to make a difference! We're here to give you the tools to flex your self-governing muscles 💪.

Here's how YOU can get started:

The Maryland General Assembly (MGA) website provides essential video tutorials to help you actively participate in the legislative process. Whether you want to track legislation, create a MYMGA account, or provide testimony, these tools empower you to advocate effectively for our 34 Ready legislation and any other issue you care about.

These Resources Can Support Your Advocacy of Issues YOU Care About:

  1. Create a MYMGA Account
Setting up a MYMGA account is your first step toward staying informed and organizing your efforts. This video tutorial walks you through creating an account so you can track bills, receive notifications about hearings related to issues that matter to you, and connect with legislative actions tied to those legislative actions.
  2. Track Legislation
Use the MGA's tracking tools to monitor bills that you care about. These resources make it easy to follow proposed legislation and amendments.
  3. Sign Up to Provide Testimony
Make your voice heard! The tutorials explain how to register to testify on bills in person or virtually. Testifying at hearings gives you the opportunity to share personal stories, present expert opinions, or voice your concerns on legislation that matters to you.
  4. Connecting with Legislative Committees
The tutorials also help you identify and engage with committees addressing the issues you care about most. This knowledge ensures that you're targeting your advocacy efforts where they'll have the most impact.

Your Voice Matters

Engaging with the legislative process is one of the most important acts of citizenship. By using these tutorials, you can stay informed and make meaningful contributions to the state of Maryland and our nation.
