Yazmin Navarro, Vice Chair of the Colorado State Board of Education, and Sharon Vincze, Convention of States (COS) Activist, attended a COS town hall event in Brighton Colorado. Sharon Vincze has many responsibilities with COS including TelePatriot Administrator and she also serves on the Veterans Coalition Director's Team. The event was sponsored by COS and organized by Wayne Walvoord. Wayne Walvoord is the Northern and Eastern Colorado Regional Captain for COS. Photos were taken by COS Volunteer Sal Celauro. The town hall event was moderated by Yvonne Paez who is the Founder/Owner of Paez Translations.
The event was held on Sunday, February 2nd at the Brighton Colorado International House of Pancakes (IHOP). IHOP is located in the Palizzi Market Place at 962 South 4th Ave, 80601 (Bromley and 4th Ave. in downtown Brighton). Wayne Walvoord will hold town hall events at IHOP the first Sunday of every month from 4pm to 5pm with everyone invited to stay for an optional dinner afterword.
These town hall events offer an excellent opportunity for Congressional District 8 constituents (CD8) to meet their elected representatives and understand their political initiatives and goals. These events also offer CD-8 constituents the opportunity to meet COS volunteers and better understand the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives to achieve an Article V convention to propose amendments to the Constitution.
The highlights of the event are outlined below:
- Seventeen constituents attended the event.
- Wayne Walvoord kicked off the event by handing out literature and informing attendees of the COS mission. Wayne also provided attendees with information describing the background, goals, and purpose of the Colorado State Board of Education. Wayne concluded by playing the opening remarks of Mark Meckler in his January 2025 "Battle Cry" video.

- Sharon Vincze presented her "Call to Action" detailing how COS volunteers can support Yazmin in her new position as Vice Chair of the Colorado State Board of Education.
- Lynn Ray assisted Sharon by detailing how the COS Veterans Coalition team can assist with all county and state events including TelePatriot calls.
- Yazmin Navarro addressed the attendees and took questions with the remainder of the time.
- Wayne Walvoord concluded the event with a brief closing statement.
- Several people remained after the event ended and enjoyed a meal with casual conversation between CD-8 constituents, Yazmin Navarro, Sharon Vincze, and COS volunteers.
Wayne Walvoord has been busy. He hosted a town hall event on January 5th with House District 48 Representative Carlos Barron and Senate District 13 Representative Scott Bright.
