The North Carolina legislature nearly passed the Convention of States resolution during the 2017 session. While the resolution sailed through the Senate, it narrowly lost in the House. Had it passed, it would have made North Carolina the thirteenth state to vote for a convention.
Fortunately, the North Carolina House voted to bring up the resolution again during the upcoming legislative session.
Although they suffered a temporary setback, COS North Carolina grassroots volunteers are not deterred. In fact, their resolve is stronger. They've been working hard to grow the army and to ensure the resolution passes in the 2018 session.
Recently, state volunteers set up Convention of States booths to educate fellow patriots about our cause and to gather new petition signatures. Each petition is delivered to their respective state legislators to show support for Convention of States.
In October volunteers set up tables at a gun show in Greenville and another in Ashville. Nearly 200 signatures were gathered between these two events.
At the Jacksonville Gun Show, an additional 100 signatures were gathered.

In November Convention of States set up a booth at the 13th annual Whirligig Festival in Wilson. The event celebrates the massive creations of the late artist and whirligig maker Vollis Simpson. It draws large crowds from from across North Carolina and other nearby states.
The Convention of States booth featured some of our most knowledgable volunteers to educate visitors and answer questions. Over 200 patriots signed the petition at this event.

We need your help, too. In order to ensure the upcoming legislative session will be the one that puts the Convention of States resolution over the top, we ask that you:
1. Sign the petition, if you haven't already done so. It will be delivered to your legislators to show your support.
2. If you've already signed the petition, you can volunteer. Openings include District Captain teams, the communications team, and others.
3. Tell your friends and family about Conventiuon of States and encourage them to sign the petition, too.
