WHO members quietly race to complete global pandemic treaty

Published in Blog on June 19, 2023 by Brianna Kraemer

While Americans were focused on Biden family corruption, the Trump indictment, and woke corporate America last week, unfamiliar faces were busy pushing America closer to the binding, global pandemic treaty in Geneva, Switzerland.

Members of the World Health Organization met from June 12 to June 16 for the fifth meeting and drafting session. As the largest backer of the WHO, the United States was surely represented during the meeting, but the question is, by who?

Biden was busy at his beach home in Delaware, so who is tying We the People into a plan that forfeits our freedoms and sovereignty to a foreign group headed by the United Nations? America's representation at the meeting remains unclear, but our government's support for the binding pandemic accord has been repeatedly affirmed.

In a live-streamed recap of the week’s discussions, the co-chair of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) – the WHO body established in 2021 to create the treaty – said it was a very productive week.

"We had very fruitful discussions," said the co-chair. "We are working very hard collectively, getting there just to make the world safer and fairer, so to say, in that respect, and be better prepared for new pandemics."

The co-chair said that the rigorous process is not always easy "because it's sometimes political." The group has been meeting consistently this year to discuss, draft, and modify the global health treaty.

Matching the previous versions, the latest draft saves all authority for calling future pandemics solely to the WHO Director-General. When it comes to the spread and deterrence of pandemics, the treaty puts the blame onto individual communities and citizens, instructing members to "adopt a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach" to fighting pandemics. Countries are expected to "empower and ensure communities’ ownership" of all pandemic responses.

It's certainly not sovereignty that's at the center of the treaty, it's equity.

"Equity shall be at the centre of pandemic prevention, preparedness, response and recovery, both at the national level within States and at the international level between States," the draft reads

While equity has become the replacement term for equality, they surely do not mean the same thing. Equality is when people have the same chance under the law, but it also means working through the inherent struggles of life. Equity strives for everyone to be given an equal outcome by dividing resources, derailing the idea of equality and replacing it with a way of living that treats some as victims and others as privileged.

"On behalf of the group for equity, the Philippines would like to extend its appreciation to the delegations of the European Union and the United States for initiating discussions with the group for equity," said the Philippines representative.

Not surprisingly, the U.S. government is behind the global "equity" push, which is really just an international socialism agenda. The plan will come to a head in May 2024 when the draft is submitted for approval to the World Health Assembly.

As Michael Farris recently warned, Biden intends to advance this treaty as an executive agreement, bypassing the Senate's approval. This is something that can be dealt with at an Article V convention, but the states must first come together and reject this global attack on our sovereignty.

It's We the People vs. both the Washington and Geneva elites. Support the Convention of States movement by signing the petition below.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
