You've probably already heard that the West Virginia state legislature passed the Convention of States Resolution last week, becoming the 18th state in history to call for an Article V convention to rein in federal power.
What you may not have seen are the inspiring speeches and testimonies that convinced the House of Delegates to vote 77-19-4 in favor of the Resolution.
One such speech was delivered by Dan Starky, a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Dan outlined powerfully and succinctly why a Convention of States is so vital to our country's future and why the House of Delegates should vote for the Convention of States Resolution.
"The states need to come together to amend the Constitution in ways that will limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government," he said. "I and thousands of other Mountaineers ask you today to be courageous, plant your flag, make a stand for liberty, and pass this Resolution!"
