Joining COS in March of 2021 makes Cindy Morgan a relatively new District Captain for Florida House District 28.
A social media post brought Cindy to a video on the Convention of States Project. This moment sparked her into action. She felt Americans on both sides of the political fence were wasting their energy complaining, and believes COS offers a more productive path.
Having been involved as both a church and a school volunteer, Cindy’s desire to serve her community is well-seasoned. As District Captain, she works towards a positive outcome to make a difference. She acts firmly on her values.
Cindy and her family have lived in Florida for about 34 years. She brings to COS extensive sales experience with consumer goods companies such as Pillsbury, Kraft, and Hershey, as well as pharmaceuticals Merck and Astra Zeneca. She currently works as a relocation expert with Keller-Williams Advantage.
While still learning the responsibilities and technology related to her new role, Cindy charges forward, educating herself and everyone she meets about the Convention of States. She says she is a "work in progress" and lives by a favorite quote from Albert Einstein, “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.”
One of the many projects of this enthusiastic patriot includes focusing on issues where both sides can agree, imposing term limits being one possibility. Another is to learn more about the COS members in her district while mobilizing volunteers to represent COS at local events. Both are high priorities to her.
Regional Captain Coach Thomas is also guiding Cindy in her role, supporting her in taking up the challenges of recruiting, welcoming, and educating new members.
