WATCH: Why Do These So-Called Conservative Orgs Stand with Soros Lobbyists?

One of the most shocking claims from the John Birch Society (JBS) spokesperson featured in our recent COS Undercover video was that billionaire activist George Soros wants and is working to call an Article V convention. There is, of course, no evidence for this. To the contrary, Soros-funded organizations have frequently published anti-COS hit pieces and sent their lobbyists to advocate against us in state legislatures.

Perhaps the unfounded claim was meant to distract from the uncomfortable fact that JBS, a supposedly right-wing group, is helping George Soros and his network of radical groups maintain the status quo.

In 2018, Common Cause, one of Soros’s Open Society foundations, joined with over 200 progressive groups in open opposition to the Convention of States movement. “An Article V convention is a dangerous threat to the U.S. Constitution, our democracy, and our civil rights and liberties,” they claimed in a letter. JBS, it seems, should have signed with them.
