In a recent policy announcement, former president Donald Trump revealed his plan to combat the “mutilation of our youth.” “No serious country should be telling its children that they were born with the wrong gender.... Under my leadership, this madness will end," he vowed.
“I will revoke Joe Biden’s cruel policies on so-called gender-affirming care,” the 2024 presidential candidate declared. “I will sign a new executive order instructing every federal agency to cease all programs that promote the concept of sex and gender transition at any age.” He indicated that this would include giving kids puberty blockers and performing sex-reassignment surgeries on minors, which has been called child mutilation.
Next, he promised to ask Congress to stop using taxpayer dollars for such procedures and to ban the sexual mutilation of minors in all 50 states.
His policy proposal also included efforts to deny Medicare and Medicaid assistance to healthcare providers that participate in any “chemical or physical mutilation of minor youth” and help patients sue doctors who perform such procedures. In addition, his Department of Justice would investigate Big Pharma for allegedly getting rich “at the expense of vulnerable patients” by marketing unlicensed puberty blockers.

Convention of States Action and The Trafalgar Group polling revealed that nearly 80% of voters oppose transgender procedures on minors.
“This polling confirms the obvious—the vast majority of Americans are not on board with the far-left’s sexual agenda, which is seeking to permanently mutilate the young and vulnerable. The idea that young people have to be 16 to drive, 18 to vote, and 21 to drink, and yet can undergo life-altering medical procedures in middle school defies common sense, and the American people see that clearly,” said Mark Meckler, President of the Convention of States. “As the Biden Administration refuses to do the right thing for our children and take action to protect them from the horrors of the far-left agenda, it’s imperative that individual states… step up and stand against it.”
According to another poll, over 70 percent of American voters said prior to the 2022 midterm election that they would not likely vote for candidates who supported allowing underage minors to use puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and undergo sex-change surgeries. We can assume that a similar sentiment will cross over into future elections.
No matter how they spin it, the government’s attempt to normalize “left-wing gender insanity” is not working. The American people are rising up against what President Trump rightfully called child abuse, and it is encouraging to see several major political figures doing the same. Most importantly, states like Tennessee and Florida are taking legal action to stop this reprehensible practice.
As Mark Meckler said, "Citizens expect responsible, common sense policies on issues, and politicians so focused on pandering can’t see this and will pay the price.”
