Wanting less government is now an extremist ideology the FBI is monitoring

Published in Blog on January 21, 2022 by Article V Patriot

In the latest expansion of our federal government, the Department of Justice has created a new domestic terrorism unit to monitor Americans even more while our elected leaders continue to supposedly represent these same “extremists.”

While there continues to be a multitude of problems economically and politically that the current administration cannot seem to handle, the one issue they are addressing deals with Americans who oppose them.

“We face an elevated threat from domestic violent extremists – that is, individuals in the United States who seek to commit violent criminal acts in furtherance of domestic social or political goals,” Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The expansion news came on January 6 as an intentional reminder of the Capitol break-in. Meanwhile, the southern border has become a hotspot for illegal immigrants and crime in Democrat-run cities has hit record highs.

Olsen went on to say that violent extremism is caused by personal grievances and a mix of ideologies. What clearly distinguishes this as an attack on conservatives is describing possible extremists as people motivated by “anti-government and anti-authority ideologies.”

In other words, those who want a limited federal government and more personal liberties are a threat to the regime.

It’s extremely concerning that anyone holding viewpoints different from the Democrats in control of Washington are now a possible target of the FBI due to their free thinking and self-governance ideals.

The progressive solution to critical thinkers is to dismiss them as extremists and send government agencies after them to prevent the threat from spreading.

Under Biden’s command, our government is growing exponentially and government overreach is more evident than ever. The states have an opportunity to utilize Article V in the Constitution to stop these power-hungry leaders from creating a false reality.

A Convention of States is urgent in order to limit the power of the federal government and stop freedom of thought from becoming illegal. Sign the petition below to get involved!

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
