Undeterred by soggy weather on August 15, Convention of States Virginia’s volunteers spread out from Virginia Beach to Wytheville, Salem/Roanoke to Doswell, and on up to Leesburg.
With pandemic-compliant drive-by voting, the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) selected party leaders and delegates to this month’s GOP National Convention.
COS volunteers at each of 10 different RPV locations were on hand to educate them about Article V and our COS resolution. More than five dozen signed petitions were piled up, despite the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions.
In addition, COS Virginia volunteers engaged a dozen state legislators to discuss their stance on supporting our COS resolution.
All of Virginia’s lawmakers gathered in Richmond on August 19 to convene a special session of the General Assembly. With them now back in their offices, we can amplify our efforts.
Please reach out to the following legislators (contact data is linked) to thank them for engaging with our volunteers and to ask for support of our COS resolution during the 2021 General Assembly session.
