Trump "cover up"? What about the IRS cover up of conservative-group targeting?

There's been lots of talk about "cover ups" lately. The Democratic talking point, spearheaded by California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, has been to accuse President Trump of covering up... something. 

Regardless of the details, her comments have spark a firestorm of support in the mainstream media and a response from President Trump.

It's worth asking: where was the media attention when we discovered the IRS under President Obama had been targeting conservative groups? The actions of IRS officials represented one of the biggest, and most under-covered, scandals in American history, and as Mark Meckler explained at the time, there should've been real consequences for those involved. 

If we want to avoid this kind of government overreach, we have to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government as a whole.

An Article V Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that shrink the scope of the federal government. These amendments reduce the size and power of agencies like the IRS and restore the limited-government principles our Founders intended.

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention.
