Tyranny Dies in the Desert

Published in Blog on July 09, 2021 by Will T. Zwart

One need only glance at a map to realize there are many countries in the world. Some are vast and spread out like a great provincial carpet. Others are so minuscule and obscure that barely anyone outside of its borders has even heard of it. Whatever their size, history, and culture, however, all the countries of the world have one thing in common: government.

Yes, every nation on earth has a form of governing authority. Some have despotic dictators, whose word is law and whose history is likely bloody. Others have socialist/communist systems, where an elite few rule over everyone else. There are puppet rulers whose strings are pulled by others, and some countries even still have kings.

But in the West, especially in America, we have a system like no other. Our Founding Fathers, inspired by history and their Creator God, created a new form of government: a Constitutional Republic, of the people, for the people, and by the people. In this new system, the people have the last word.

It would be a bit of an understatement to say the 2020 presidential election is controversial. In fact, even saying it is controversial is controversial. While discovering the facts and fiction of the occurrence shall be left up to the reader, one thing is certain: the federal government considers the 2020 election closed. The states, i.e. the people, do not.

Thousands of citizens in all fifty states and on both sides of the aisle claim that the 2020 election was stolen, and that the guilty parties are the Chinese Communist Party and the D.C. Administrative State. Many others, however, such as those in the mainstream media and Congress, claim that such accusations are a blatant lie. Who is right? Maricopa Country in Arizona is determined to find out!

Despite Congress certifying the election results and swearing in a new administration, the citizens of the Grand Canyon state are conducting - and in fact have almost concluded - a forensic audit of their 2020 voting ballots, in defiance of protestations at the federal level.

A state that opposes the will of the federal government on such a scale is unheard of in 2021, and many other states have taken notice.

Even with Washington D.C., the mainstream media, and social media giants continuing to dismiss claims of fraud, 20 other states have sent teams to examine the audit facility in Arizona. That's over a third of the country, something that can hardly be dismissed as a few disgruntled voters. What those teams found was a comprehensive and tightly organized process, a process run by Americans who only want to find the truth.

What that truth will be is known only to the auditors and the Almighty, but one thing is for sure: the states are rising up, defying a tyrannical establishment that wishes to enforce its own will on them. The last time that happened, a nation based on Judeo-Christian values and God-given freedoms was born. 245 years later, perhaps that nation will be reborn.

The states, not the federal government, leading the country is the mission of Convention of States. We want to restore a system of self-governance, and to do so, we must wield the authority already given to us in the Constitution.  Remember: a people is only as tyrannized as they allow themselves to be. Provide new guards for your future security and sign the petition below to join your fellow patriots in the fight for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and a Convention of States.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
