Team Hawaii Perseveres at Capitol Visits!

Published in Surge Article Blog on February 14, 2024 by Mark Kenneth White

Yet another Wednesday, February 14, at the Hawaii State Capitol, found the Convention of States Hawaii team persevering on their Capitol Visit Surge Campaign. Eleven team members gathered for Week 4 of their six-week long effort to promote the COS resolution to Aloha State legislators.

Left: Ginger and Chanara review their documents. Center: Jim greets Senator  Lynn DeCoite's Office Manager.  Right: Rita and Jason visit Minority Leader Representative Lauren Matsumotos staff.

Visiting all legislative offices, COS Hawaii team members distributed two important handouts to dispel commonly held, but misguided beliefs about Article V conventions for proposing amendments.

The new 5 Myths" palm card along with Surge Article The Final Constitutional Option dovetailed nicely together to debunk arguments against COS while providing the historic and scholarly background for supporting the only solution as big as the problems facing America today.

Join the Hawaii Team every Wednesday, noon, at the State Capitol, 415 S Beretania St, Honolulu, to visit your legislators office and help promote our COS Resolution.
